Titan Garages

Titan Garages has several different business units. One sells spare parts that accompany their main product line. Before we helped make the sales system for this business unit more efficient it was paper-based, with frequent price changes requiring more paper to be added to the system every couple of months. Turning a quote into an order required duplication of information by hand and needed to be filled out in triplicate. Plus orders were occasionally lost between the branches and head office. The average time to fulfil an order was 3 weeks and customers were dissatisfied.

The system we developed is an online one, with a central database managed by Titan’s head office, always containing an up-to-date price. Changes are visible immediately at branch level and item descriptions are accompanied by images to make product selection easier. Quotes are quick to generate, can be professionally printed out, given to a customer and can be saved into the system. They can then be turned into confirmed orders at the click of a mouse.

The inaccuracies caused by the paper-based system have been eliminated by the standardisation of images and descriptions. Delays in communication of information between sales branches and head office have been eliminated. A status log shows exactly where each job is currently in the system and new reports mean that inventory outages are a thing of the past.

The new system has reduced the processing time of orders by 2 weeks, making the system 66% more efficient and also helping to boost sales in this section of the business by 250%.
